The location has to be Apartment Angelina’s USP. It literally overlooks the front of the new Aiguille du Midi cable car station in central Chamonix, so keen off-pisters and Vallée Blanche fanatics could not be better placed.

style
The style throughout Apartment Angelina is modern contemporary, using quality natural materials – lots of bleached wood, slate, leather and rattan. It is beautifully appointed and genuinely luxury, and all seems very easy living, being on just one floor. The good sized living room has a plasma screen TV with DVD player and satellite TV, while the open plan kitchen is stainless steel with granite work surfaces. ^
rooms
There are three bedrooms, one of which is ideal for children because it is smaller and has no windows. One of the others has a queen double and en suite open bathroom, the last one being a twin which shares a shower room with the children’s room. Both the children's room and twin can also be doubles. The toiletries are all by L’Occitane. ^
food & drink
The fully catered package at Apartment Angelina includes breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes daily, and for five nights of your stay you are also served pre-dinner canapés and champagne and 4 - 6 course evening meals. The package also includes a selection of spirits, beers and soft drinks. Spirits tend to include the most popular brands of vodka, rum, whisky, gin and liqueurs such as Baileys.
The chefs used are professional and selected for their ability to provide the highest standard of cuisine and versatile menu choices. They will make a menu choice for the first night and thereafter will discuss preferences and food styles with the guests. Many mix it up a bit, offering Savoyarde French cuisine and Mediterranean dishes and Asian. A point to note: if you request food such as lobster the budget may be exceeded and supplements may be charged in these instances.
The wine at the apartment is excellent -- each year the chalet works with local wine merchants to choose a good selection of house wines. They also have an extensive à la carte list of wines that clients can purchase from. It includes many fine wines from local vineyards and other regions of France as well as other selections from around the world. ^

The chalet is on offer on either a VIP full service basis or a self-catered basis, with the option of adding on a wide range of extra services from nannying to private chauffeured vehicle, should you need it. ^
spa facilities
There are no spa facilities at Apartment Angelina. ^

Children would love the cosy little bedroom. ^

There is a lovely south facing terrace which enjoys sunshine late into the evening in summer. Apartment Angelina also comes with its own private parking. ^
for skiers
Chamonix is a fantastic resort that consists of four different ski areas, all of them easily accessible from Apartment Angelina because of its central location. Flégère and Brévent are probably the nearest, with Grands Montets about 10 minutes up the valley and Le Tour another 10. There is plenty of skiing for all levels, although Chamonix has gained a reputation for being an off-pisters’ paradise, and there is certainly lots of gnarly terrain to tackle, but intermediates have plenty to entertain them too. ^
for non skiers
Apartment Angelina is also perfectly located for non-skiers because it is right in the heart of the town. There is lots of fab shopping to do, markets to visit, a fascinating Alpine museum, plus trips up the Montenvers railway to the bottom of the Vallée Blanche or up the Aiguille du Midi cable car for staggering views across the Mont Blanc massif. Non-skiers can also go further afield such as to the spa and hot springs at Pré St Didier. ^

getting there
Geneva is just an hour away by car. Transfers to and from Geneva are included in the fully catered price, not so in the self-catered. Transfers can also be arranged to other airports such as Lyon and Grenoble, but additional charges apply. ^

Apartment Angelina starts from 11,900€ (approx £10,500) for 7 nights fully catered in the winter. In the summer it is available on a self catered basis with prices starting at 2,400€ (approx £2,120). This includes daily housekeeping, a concierge service between 8am and 8pm, pre-arrival food shop (food cost not included), pre-arrival itinerary planning and luxury bath products, robes and slippers. ^
